Exploring China's Societal, Cultural and Business Dynamics: In the Context of Nepal
Course Description
In recent years, China’s influence in Nepal has been growing significantly. China now presents itself as the second largest economy in the world with rapidly expanding large state-owned and private enterprises overseas. The scale of Chinese investments and business flooding Nepali market can be felt across cities in Kathmandu, Pokhara, Bhairahawa and so on. Furthermore, not much has been delved in detail about Nepali entrepreneurs and business thriving in Chinese markets. Whether it's in Yiwu, Guangzhou or Chengdu, there exists a significant number of Nepali traders, businesses.
This summer school course engages prospective and current students, and any interested researchers to explore China's business ecosystem through the lens of society, economy and culture. Join the summer school course to gain more insight on China:
Course Objectives:
- Gain a comprehensive understanding of the Chinese economy, including its key sectors, growth drivers, and economic policies.
- Develop cross-cultural skills to effectively navigate and engage in business with China.
- Analyze the impact of cultural, social, and political factors on business practices in China and their implications.
- Apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills to evaluate business opportunities, assess risks, and develop effective strategies for dealing with China.
