Course Description
This comprehensive course introduces students to the fascinating world of Internet of Things (IoT) using Arduino. The course provides an overview of IoT, including setup and an introduction to Arduino boards. It explores sensors, actuators, and interfacing them with Arduino. Students learn about communication protocols, focusing on MQTT for IoT. They also build a weather monitoring system. Students dive into practical projects such as LED projects, gas detection, weather monitoring, air pollution monitoring, and disaster mitigation using IoT. The course highlights different IoT applications and explores smart home automation and smart city concepts using Arduino. By completing this course, students will possess a solid understanding of IoT principles and hands-on experience with Arduino for building innovative IoT projects.

- Introduction to IOT - Components of IOT, IoT Setup
- Introduction to Arduino Board and Setup with soldering basics
- Introduction to Sensors & Actuators - Digital pins, Analog pins and Pulse width modulation (pwm); Interfacing sensors with Arduino
- Introduction to communication protocols - MQTT protocol for IOT, building a weather monitoring system using Arduino
- IoT Project work - Simple LED projects, Alcohol and Combustible Gas Detection, Weather Monitoring, Air Pollution, IOT in disaster mitigation
- Overview of different IOT applications - Smart home automation using Arduino, Smart City
